The Calling of Every Human Being is the Sacrament of Marriage

MotherofGodSouthfield[1]Congratulations to John and Irene on their wedding at Mother of God Chaldean Church in Southfield. It was a beautiful ceremony efficiently coordinated by Dalia Atisha.  According to the church website, marriage is the natural calling of every human being, the sacrament of marriage, which occurs between two baptized people, offers particulars graces for the couple and their children to help them become sanctified and to reach heaven.  The ceremony began with the playing “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring”, for the processional of the mothers, family, bridal party and adorable ring bearer and flower girl. The bridal party were elegantly dressed with rich fur stoles over their gowns.  Irene processed to Pachelbel’s Canon in D in a spectacular ball-like wedding gown.  After the final blessing, we played “10,000 Reasons” and “On Eagle’s Wings” while the license was signed, the unity candle lit, and photographs were taken.  The joy and happiness on the part of the guests was palpable throughout the ceremony.  We are certain that the high spirits and celebration continued throughout the reception as well. Best wishes to John and Irene!

Chaldean Community Celebrates in Style

Congratulations to Lindsay and Sean who were married at the Mother of God Chaldean Church in Southfield.  The service was spoken in two languages which might have posed a challenge if not for Silvana Musa, the outstanding wedding coordinator.  We send her our heartfelt appreciation for her assistance with cues throughout the service.  Lindsay and Sean chose romantic music for the seating of their guests including The Way You Look Tonight, All I Ask of You, It Had to Be You and Bittersweet Symphony.  The ceremony however, was traditional with Pachelbel’s Canon, the Bridal Chorus, Ave Maria and the Wedding March.  The Chaldean women have an appreciation for gorgeous formal gowns and this event was no exception.  Each woman present wore a spectacular dress worthy of any bridal party.  It is always a pleasure to observe the Chaldean Community’s pride and celebration at weddings.  We wish Sean and Lindsay the very best as they begin married life.
