The Calling of Every Human Being is the Sacrament of Marriage

MotherofGodSouthfield[1]Congratulations to John and Irene on their wedding at Mother of God Chaldean Church in Southfield. It was a beautiful ceremony efficiently coordinated by Dalia Atisha.  According to the church website, marriage is the natural calling of every human being, the sacrament of marriage, which occurs between two baptized people, offers particulars graces for the couple and their children to help them become sanctified and to reach heaven.  The ceremony began with the playing “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring”, for the processional of the mothers, family, bridal party and adorable ring bearer and flower girl. The bridal party were elegantly dressed with rich fur stoles over their gowns.  Irene processed to Pachelbel’s Canon in D in a spectacular ball-like wedding gown.  After the final blessing, we played “10,000 Reasons” and “On Eagle’s Wings” while the license was signed, the unity candle lit, and photographs were taken.  The joy and happiness on the part of the guests was palpable throughout the ceremony.  We are certain that the high spirits and celebration continued throughout the reception as well. Best wishes to John and Irene!

St. Thomas Chaldean Church Wedding

Congratulations to Ruba and Herman! They were married at the St. Thomas Chaldean Church in West Bloomfield. We were so honored to be asked to play for another Chaldean wedding. The church does not allow music during the service itself, but we were asked to play before and after. We were also joined by a beautiful vocalist, Olivia, for Schubert’s ‘Ave Maria’. The bride had a special request that we arrange and play the piece, ‘Sogno’, for her processional. It was a wonderful choice. http://www.parishesonline.com/Scripts/HostedSites/Org.asp?ID=18810
