The Masonic in Detroit Delivers the Unique and Traditional for Year Round Weddings

20160514_152724From an intimate wedding venue to breathtaking ballrooms, The Masonic and its staff is at your service. Unique, traditional and inspiring, the Masonic has a wide range of rooms to meet your specific needs. Jeremy and April chose the Chapel for their wedding ceremony.  The large room is a smaller scale replica of Westminster Abbey that holds 500 people. Red was the color of the day and the alter arrangements, with the crystal and feathers, created a 1930’s feel.  The couple chose a mix of old and new music from It Don’t Mean a Thing by Duke Ellington to I Would Do Anything for Love by Meatloaf.  Melanie Matics, coordinator at the Masonic, assisted us throughout the day.  We are always appreciative of the talents of a good wedding coordinator. Bill Fenton from I Do’s Your Way officiated and pronounced the couple husband and wife as Kim the bagpiper led the recessional out of the chapel. The reception was held in the Crystal Ballroom and we played for the cocktail hour from the balcony above the ballroom.  Looking down onto the Ballroom gives you the birds eye view of beauty and richness of the ballroom.  The pictures simply can’t do justice to the glamorous décor.20160514_165837
