Beacon Baptist Celebrates Wedding of Pastor’s Daughter

IMG_1962Congratulations to Jennie and Jared who were married earlier this month at Beacon Baptist Church in Taylor. This was a church wide event as Jennie is the daughter of Co-Pastor John Reilly. The wedding was officiated by the Rev. Eddie Lyons, Jennie’s brother, Adam Reilly and assisted by wedding coordinator Vicki Chavas. As the picture shows, though held in a large sanctuary, an intimate chapel setting was created by the white draping and petal strewn alter area used for the unity candle. The florist, Say It With Flowers, added lovely pew flowers to compliment the effect.
The bridal party was composed of family and friends that included young girls bringing lantern to the alter steps, flower girls distributing petals, a wagon holding a wee little one pulled by another child and seven maids and groomsmen who walked as couples to the song “At Last”. Jennie looked, as every bride should, beautiful and peaceful as she and her father entered to La Vie En Rose.
The ceremony included two touching readings by Jennie’s Aunt Dora Young and Jared’s Grandmother June Cooke. During the unity candle, vocalist Jill Connor and pianist Laura Hunter, beautifully performed “As For Me and My House”. The newly married couple recessed to “The Way You Look Tonight”. We send our congratulations and best wishes to Jared and Jennie. IMG_1960
