Stormy Weather Doesn’t Dampen the Celebration at Rattlesnake Club

IMG_20140517_183341_904Threatening rainstorms did not dampen the celebration of Robert and Emily’s wedding at the Rattlesnake Club last weekend.  For clients interested in an outdoor wedding, the Rattlesnake offers a picturesque brick patio shaded by flowering trees overlooking the Detroit River.  The trees were in perfect bloom and the breeze was blowing white petals around the chuppah making for a picturesque setting.  Emily and Robert had the song “This Must Be the Place” by the Talking Heads arranged for our string quartet to play during the processional of family and bridal party.  Emily was escorted down the aisle by her parents to the nostalgic tune “At Last”. Rabbi Arnie Sleutelberg officiated the ceremony.  The guests returned to the Rattlesnake’s six story elegant Atrium to celebrate with a cocktail hour and reception.  We played Emily and Robert’s requested songs which included selections by the Beatles, MoTown along with a few nostalgic songs like “Isn’t It Romantic”.

Planning and orchestrating an event like this requires experienced professionals.  Wedding coordinator Tammara Kane of Grand Jour Events and Rattlesnake Event Planner Amy Engelbert were awesome and handled the changes due to weather with grace and efficiency.  The day was a flawless success for Emily and Robert and we wish them the best.
