Music and Love Make for “Harmonious” Wedding

IMG_1163The Gem Theater is a fabulous venue for weddings here in the Detroit metro area. They have two theaters, the Gem located on the main floor and the smaller Century Theater located upstairs. The Century Theater provides a more intimate setting and was perfect for Gina and Bob’s ceremony. Bob’s brother-in-law, the Honorable David M. Gubow, officiated the ceremony which included the reading “On Marriage” by Kahlil Gibran read by Nichole D’Ambrosio and “Special Intentions” read by Betty Walter. This musical family brought their talents to the celebration. We here honored to accompany Bob’s brother, Joseph Kolinski, as he sang a beautiful rendition of Bach-Gounod’s Ave Maria. Bob’s nieces, Rachel and Jacqueline Gubow, performed a lovely piece titled “A Kiss at the End of the Rainbow”. Following the ceremony, the Dan Pliskow Jazz Trio played for the cocktail hour. We’ve heard wonderful reviews of this group and are always pleased to support and recommend our colleagues. The reception music was provided by Rhythm Society Orchestra, a 15-piece dance band specializing in true vintage swing music. Congratulations to Bob and Gina as they begin their life together.
