Stunning Wedding Held at Colony Club’s Historic Ballroom

Congratulations to Mildred and Joel! They were married earlier this month at The Colony Club in Detroit. This large wedding was obviously a celebration for the entire family. Joel and Mildred chose a great mix of music that included traditional classical pieces like Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring but also Coldplay’s Viva La Vida for their recessional. Mildred asked that we arrange “You” by the Carpenters for her bridal processional and it was an honor to do so. They also chose “You Raise Me Up” and Chapman’s “I Will Be Here” for inclusion into the ceremony. The Rev. Phillip Rogers led a beautiful service and it was a pleasure to work with Jen House, wedding coordinator from A Moment in Time Weddings once again.
Following the ceremony, we had the opportunity to play for cocktails. At the couple’s request, we did a mix of our light classics and contemporary songs. It was a lovely evening for the newlyweds and we wish them the very best.
