Lakeland 2012 Prom: A Black Tie Affair

Lakeland High School’s 2012 Prom was truly a “Black Tie Affair” Thursday evening. More than 450 students and staff enjoyed a unique evening at Crystal Gardens sponsored by the Senior Class. The first limousine arrived just after 6 p.m., and dinner was served just after 7 p.m. in the banquet center.  We had the pleasure of playing songs the prom committee selected from 6 to 7 as guests were arriving.  We played songs by Coldplay, B-52”s, Bryan Adams, Katy Perry, Fergie, Sting, Santana, U2, Elton John, Beatles and Journey including the memorable “Don’t Stop Believin’.  It was great fun to see the variety of prom dresses and feel the student’s excitement.  This special night occurred just two days before graduation and everyone was in a festive mood.  Congratulations to all the graduates and best of luck to you all.
