Severe Weather Doesn’t Stop Wedding at Beacon Hills Golf Club in Commerce

Congratulations to Rachel and Jared on their wedding this past Sunday. Though rain drove the outdoor wedding inside, spirits remained high. Then the facility lost power and the tornado sirens sounded! Nevertheless, this couple took it all in stride and was able to keep their focus on the real beauty of the day, their shared love and commitment! The minister cleverly inserted “with or without power” into the vows and generated a good hearted laugh from family and friends. In addition to Kanon for the bridal party and Trumpet Voluntary for Rachel’s processional, we had the pleasure of accompanying a friend of the family, Lee Timer, who is also a friend of ours. Lee played guitar while we accompanied and sang a beautiful rendition of “Grow Old with Me”. Following the ceremony, we played a mix of nostalgic, classical and contemporary pieces for the cocktail hour and through dinner. We extend our thanks to Mr. Moody, DJ for the reception, for his collegial assistance during our three hours. He took over for us following dinner and no doubt the guests were treated to great music throughout the night.
Congratulations again and best wishes to Jared and Rachel. They survived the “stormy weather” of a new marriage and can now look forward to a long and happy life together.
