Wedding is a Family Event at Trinity Lutheran Church in Port Huron

Congratulations to Amy and Joe who were married at Trinity Lutheran Church in Port Huron. This wedding was a true family event! The bride’s father, Reverend Carrier, officiated the ceremony while the brides’ mother who is the church organist and pianist, played the hymns and accompanied the brides’ sister, Becky, in a beautiful rendition of the Lord’s Prayer. We had the pleasure of playing romantic music by Brahms, Mendelssohn and Debussy during the prelude. One of Joe’s favorite pieces, Kanon in D, served as the music for the seating of the Grandparents and Mothers while the eight bridesmaids, three charming flower girls and ring bearer processed to Bach’s Air on the G string. Amy chose the moving Meditation from Thais by Massenet for her bridal processional. During the ceremony, we had the pleasure of accompanying Becky, the bride’s sister, on the well known Agnus Die, recorded by Amy Grant. One unique addition to the ceremony was a children’s sermon. Rev. Carrier made a point to explain to the children the meaning behind several aspects of the ceremony itself. The church was beautifully decorated for the holidays and filled with family and friends of the blessed couple. It was a beautiful day and we wish Amy and Joe the very best as they begin married life together.
