Wedding at Grosse Pointe Academy Chapel

Congratulations to Maura and Ade on their wedding June 5th in the Chapel of Grosse Pointe Academy. The wedding today was testimony to the idea that love completes a circle. Maura and Ade were high school sweethearts who re-connected after several years apart. Now as bride and groom, they celebrated their love with family and friends. Ade’s family wore the traditional dress of Nigeria which added a beautiful element to the wedding. The couple’s friend, Adrienne, sang a lovely rendition of the Lord is Kind and the Celtic Alleluia with our string quartet. The bridal party processed to Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring wearing pale pink dresses and carrying bouquets of pink peonies and white hydrangeas.
Following the ceremony, the couple and guests proceeded down the road a bit to the Grosse Pointe War Memorial for cocktails and reception. We had the pleasure of playing a diverse collection of music for the cocktail hour. Congratulations again to Maura and Ade as they begin their life together as husband and wife.
