Wedding at Grosse Pointe War Memorial

Congratulations to Meghan and Corey on their wedding this past Saturday. Despite an early morning thunderstorm, the weather was beautiful by the afternoon and the ceremony proceeded as planned on the lawn overlooking Lake St. Clair. The bridal party, carrying tulip bouquets and dressed in empire waist pastel dresses, processed through the garden to the music of Palchelbel’s Canon. As Pastor Dave from Kensington Church invited the guests to rise, Meghan processed down the aisle decorated with oriental lanterns to Purcell’s Trumpet Voluntary. To celebrate their Irish heritage, we played several Irish selections which seemed to be well enjoyed by the guests as they posed for a large group photo on the steps of the the Grosse Pointe War Memorial, also known as the Russell A. Alger, Jr. House. Congratulations to Meghan and Corey and best wishes as they begin their married life together.
